Since the pandemic, working from home is here to stay. Many entrepreneurs and professionals have discovered that they can work just as well remotely. And if it’s possible in the Netherlands, why not in Spain? With fiber internet available almost everywhere along the Costa Blanca, you get the same facilities—plus 300 days of sunshine per year.
What I increasingly see is that entrepreneurs combine their work with a stay in Spain. Booking tickets is easy: there are plenty of flight routes and the flight is short. Within a few hours, you’re sitting on a terrace with your laptop, looking out over the sea. Your work just carries on, but the surroundings immediately give you a different feeling.
A change of scenery works wonders. In Spain, you have the sun almost all the time, plenty of natural light, and views that inspire. It gives you energy and creativity—exactly what you often need as an entrepreneur. Where in the Netherlands you might go home after a long workday to the rain, here you step outside after a video call to take a walk along the beach.
A second home in Spain means you always have a place to escape the day-to-day concerns. Recharge a bit, pick up new ideas, and enjoy time with family or friends. You’ll notice your battery fills up faster again, which means you can actually give more in your work. And that might be the biggest gain of all.
Entrepreneurship isn’t just about working hard—it’s also about taking good care of yourself. More and more of my clients see their home on the Costa Blanca as the perfect balance. It’s an investment in their lifestyle and in their business. Let’s be honest: if you’re well equipped, you perform better.
Want to discover how having your own place in Spain can help you effortlessly combine work and relaxation? I’d be happy to think along with you. Together, we’ll find a home that fits your way of living—and doing business.
