Buying a home on the Costa Blanca starts with feeling

When people come to look at the Costa Blanca with me, I deliberately take the time for it. No quick rounds, nothing to check off. Usually, it takes three to four days. Not because it has to, but because otherwise you don’t get a proper picture.

Of course, I show them properties too. For example, a project in Benissa or a house they previously only viewed online. That alone is often an eye-opener. What you see on the internet and what you experience in real life can be quite different. But it doesn’t stop there.

It’s not just about the house

A home is important. But the surroundings are just as important. This is where you live. In the mornings, you have your coffee at a terrace. You meet people. You do your groceries. You go for walks, work out, or you simply take a moment to do nothing.

That’s why I take clients out into the area. I help them feel what Moraira is like. And how different the atmosphere is in Benissa. And I give them tips so they can also look at the other places. Sometimes we drive toward Jávea, or we head more inland instead. Not to see everything, but to experience the differences.

Because those differences really do exist. And you only notice them once you’re there.

Every place has its own character

Moraira is small-scale, peaceful, and located in the south. Many people quickly feel at home here. Benissa is more spread out, with beautiful little coves and more space. Jávea is a bit more lively and attracts families with older children. If you’re looking for more of a city vibe, Dénia often fits better.

There’s no good or bad. Every place has its advantages and disadvantages. What’s perfect for one person may not feel right for another.

What fits your way of life?

That’s why I always ask questions. What does your family look like? Do you have young children or, rather, teenagers? Are they sporty? Do they like going out? Are you looking for peace and quiet, or something with a bit more energy? Do you want everything within walking distance, or is driving not a problem?

Those kinds of things matter far more than the property itself. And you can’t get those answers from a brochure.

Buying is also emotion

I say it often: buying on the Costa Blanca is mainly a question of how it feels. Of course, we look at location, budget, and future value. But if it doesn’t feel right, then it’s not right. That’s as simple as it gets.

So I don’t push people through a strict schedule. I give tips, show what’s out there, and explain what the differences are. After that, it’s allowed to sink in.

Because in the end, it’s not about the nicest house on paper. It’s about the place where you feel at home. And you only discover that by being there.

Want to discover which place suits you best? Then I’d be happy to take the time for it.
